The Crafthub started as a not for profit social enterprise established on 16th May 2013 to serve our remote and fragile community

Company Number SC 450163 

We provided a retail outlet for Locally Made Arts & Crafts, a Community Cafe and Arts and Crafts Workshops.

 

Our old lease wasn't renewed in April 2020 and we have been operating on a pop-up basis  while the search has been ongoing to find a suitable permanent  premises.

​

In October 2022 we were accepted as a charity by OSCR the scottish charity regulator our Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation is known as a SCIO and our registered number is

SC 052087

​

After a long haul to find our forever home on16th August 2024 we became the new owners of The Space - Rousay. This

beautiful building that is part of the island heritage and landscape has been acquired for the communities of Rousay, Egilsay & Wyre.

 

We won't get everything right, it may take a bit of time to get fully up and running.... but your feedback will be invaluable and really appreciated as we try different things.
